Conditions for Use of Certificates, Marks, Logos, and Designations

  • Authorized Use: The certificate issued by AOWA is a formal acknowledgment of course completion and can be used by the recipient solely for professional purposes, including displaying the certificate on personal resumes, websites, or in professional portfolios. The associated marks/logos and designation acronyms may only be used by the certificate holder in accordance with AOWA’s Branding Guidelines.

  • Restricted Use: The certificate and any associated marks/logos must not be used to misrepresent or imply endorsement by AOWA beyond the scope of the specific training completed. They must not be used in a manner that suggests AOWA’s direct involvement in projects or other work unless specifically authorized.

  • Expiration and Renewal: Certificates are valid for a period of three years, after which the recipient may be required to complete additional training or coursework to maintain their certification. Information on certificate expiration and renewal requirements will be communicated to the certificate holder.

  • Revocation and Non-Transferability: Certificates are non-transferable and may be revoked if AOWA determines that the holder did not meet the requirements of the program or engaged in any form of academic dishonesty. If revoked, the certificate holder will be required to cease using the certificate and associated marks/logos immediately.

  • Branding Guidelines: Any use of AOWA's marks/logos or designations must adhere to specific guidelines regarding size, color, placement, and context, which are provided to certificate holders upon issuance. These guidelines help maintain the integrity and reputation of the AOWA brand.

By participating in AOWA training courses, you agree to abide by this code of conduct. Violations of this code may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the course. Thank you for helping us create a welcoming and productive learning environment for all participants.
